Production Planning Group Leader

Job Description


Job Summary:

Responsible to guide a production planning team in achieving the key performance indicators related to safety, cost, quality, delivery for both the Logistics and Operations teams. Makes continuous improvements to production planning processes to improve delivery performance to customers and maintain established finished goods inventory levels. Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring high levels of both internal and external customer service by successfully managing and administering the Master Production Schedule of a JIT Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry.


Essential Functions 

  Ability to plan, schedule, release, monitor and control assembly line production plans based on MRP time-phased requirements to meet internal and external customer demands

  Successfully lead and develop the production planning team

  Define, monitor, and control finished goods inventory levels to be in line with defined inventory targets

  Analyze customer demand related data and report to management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

  Develop and communicate the daily/weekly/monthly production plan

  Participate in daily operation meetings to review previous day's results and discuss current/future production plan

  Work with MRP related parameters to drive MPS and MRP improvements in SAP

  Review demand and capacity to identify time periods when capacity could impact the production department's ability to meet demand

  Coordinate and manage projects associated with the development, realization and implementation of new customer programs as they relate to production planning

  Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) of current planning related processes

  Act as an IFA Rotorion NA representative when communicating with both internal and external customers



    B.S. degree in Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management



  5 + years of experience in planning production in a Tier 1 or 2 supplier to the automotive industry

  3 + years of experience leading a team

  Ability to successfully develop and manage relationships with both internal and external customers

  Experience with SAP (MM/WM)

  Very strong computer skills with MS office programs, particularly with MS Excel

  Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts

  Must be available to work flexible hours to insure internal/external customer responsiveness

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
