Job Summary

Responsible for providing high quality machine inspections, Routine scheduled Preventable Maintenance (PM) services, and small repairs while in the field in order to respond to customer needs in a positive and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Perform all levels of lube service and preventive maintenance on primarily (but not limited to) John Deere Construction and Forestry equipment.

Inspect equipment and give recommendations for repairs and submit inspections for follow up with customer on recommendations.

Test and verify correct operation of all lube services and adjustments.

Complete all necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely, orderly manner.

Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.

Create a work environment that is considerate of the customer?s needs.

Answer customer questions thoroughly and completely and conduct performance and repairs in a professional manner.?

Maintain assigned service truck to include scheduled servicing, performing required repairs, cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance and road worthiness.

Work hours are subject to machine availability, Overtime, weekend work may be required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, prints, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications.? Strong communication skills.? Strong computer skills and the ability to learn to effectively use company software ? with training.?Positive customer service. Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics.?General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging equipment.?Knowledge of use of various heavy equipment including, John Deere Construction & Forestry products.?

Job Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.?
- Associate?s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.??
- CDL required - Clean MVR is a must.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
