Senior Cost Accountant

Kaliburn Inc., a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, engineers and manufactures plasma cutting systems, plasma torches, plasma consumables and control system units for high-tech cutting applications. Building new products that constantly raise the bar in the industry is possible through a strong foundation of engineering talent such as mechanical, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and software engineers.
Candidate will be responsible for cost accounting and financial analysis across two manufacturing facilities. Home facility is located in Ladson, SC. The role will require occasional travel to second facility in Reno, NV. Candidate will also support month-end reporting and accounting activities, forecasting and budgeting, and will work with the finance team to ensure proper internal controls are maintained throughout the two facilities.
Create, maintain, and provide organizational feedback regarding product costs
Analyze cost variances, communicating cost drivers where variances are legitimate, and supporting resolution where they result from inconsistencies in master data
Assist with analysis and internal reporting of monthly financial results, to include downloading results from SAP, uploading results to HFM, and understanding account mapping rules between these systems
Work collaboratively with groups outside of the finance team to analyze the financial and accounting implications of various business processes
Assess own tasks and processes for continuous improvement and elimination of wasteful processing in the month-end close cycle
Perform other related journal entries, month-end tasks, and account reconciliations as required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3+ years related experience
Experience with SAP, or other top tier ERP system, in a manufacturing environment
Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
Detail orientated with a strong work ethic
Self-starter, resourceful, and motivated toward process improvement
Results-driven with a focus to exceed goals and objectives
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, Business Warehouse, or other similar financial reporting software
Exposure to Profit Center Accounting
Working knowledge of master data, including BoMs, routings and Material Masters
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
