Manufacturing Engineering Technician I

Kaliburn Inc., a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, engineers and manufactures plasma cutting systems, plasma torches, plasma consumables and control system units for high-tech cutting applications. Building new products that constantly raise the bar in the industry is possible through a strong foundation of engineering talent such as mechanical, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and software engineers.
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician I will evaluate, develop and document manufacturing processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
Participate in efforts to reduce waste in the machine shop
Create and prove out CNC Part Programs for CNC Lathes, Mills, and Swiss Turns using ESPRIT
Perform 1st part inspections on parts; document new parts with set up sheets and work instructions
Create fixture drawings using SolidEdge
Perform work on machines and hand processes as part of problem solving process
Contribute to team environments for Kaizen events, 5S+1, Process Flow, Cost Improvements, etc.
Participate in employee teams to determine root cause of problems
Provide primary input to Manufacturability Reviews
Collect data to improve processes
Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires
Associate's degree in technical field or 3+ years equivalent experience
Advanced math skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, volume, circumference and rate; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Self-starter, motivated and resourceful
Detail oriented with a strong work ethic
Results-driven with a focus to exceed goals and objectives
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
Positive attitude with a desire to learn
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
