Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance in firefighting and rescue operations - Perform fire suppression activities, including operating firefighting equipment and extinguishing fires - Conduct search and rescue operations to locate and evacuate individuals in emergency situations - Provide medical assistance, including administering first aid, assessing vital signs, and performing CPR - Participate in fire prevention activities, such as conducting inspections and educating the public on fire safety measures - Maintain and inspect firefighting equipment and apparatus - Conduct drills and training exercises to maintain readiness and improve skills - Collaborate with other emergency response agencies to coordinate efforts during major incidents Skills:
- Proficient in first aid techniques, including assessing injuries and providing appropriate medical care - Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and ability to respond quickly to changes in a patient's condition - Certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) techniques - Familiarity with basic life support procedures - Ability to perform heavy lifting and carry equipment or individuals during rescue operations - Mechanical knowledge to operate firefighting equipment and vehicles effectively Note:
